The Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF) hosted its annual Grants Reception in October, bringing together donors, volunteers, and nonprofit partners for a morning of gratitude and inspiration. Over breakfast, guests heard firsthand how local grant funding is transforming lives and strengthening the Putnam County community.
Austin Malayer, PCCF Grants Chair, opened the morning by welcoming attendees and expressing deep appreciation for the donors and volunteers who make the Foundation’s grantmaking possible. “Our competitive grant funds are provided thanks to over 50 named unrestricted funds created by individuals and families who seek to leave a lasting legacy of philanthropy in Putnam County,” he said. “Their generosity provides approximately $250,000 in grant funds each year. Thank you to our unrestricted fund founders and the countless donors who support our grantmaking efforts.”
Throughout the morning, Jenny Neureiter, PCCF’s Director of Donor and Grantee Services, recognized this year’s grant recipients. These programs support a wide range of community projects, from grassroots initiatives to youth-led service efforts.
Featured grantees included Adele Sprinkles of Isaiah 1:17 House, Christy Menke of the Lakeland Center, and Betty Wallace and Starla Bradley from Family Support Services, sharing highlights from their grant projects.
“We are proud of the incredible accomplishments of our grantee partners in 2025, and we look forward to seeing their growth and continued impact in 2026,” said Jenny.
In closing, she highlighted PCCF’s special 40th anniversary programs including the Ruby Anniversary Grants and Ruby Anniversary Awards programs, which continue the celebration of four decades of philanthropy, partnership, and progress in Putnam County.
As the morning wrapped up, one theme rang clear: when donors, volunteers, and nonprofits work together, lasting change takes root close to home.
