2023 Community Needs Assessment
By using a unique approach to assess the community’s needs, the Putnam County Community Foundation has identified the main issues that prevent our neighbors from living healthy, happy lives. PCCF has shared these findings with community partners, grantees, local government, and other stakeholders so they can collaborate to develop data-driven solutions to meet our community’s needs. These focus areas remain central to PCCF’s efforts.
PCCF is committed to conducting a new Community Needs Assessment every three to five years to understand the community’s evolving needs, with the next assessment scheduled for 2027.

Background
PCCF led the 2023 Community Needs Assessment, which included a comprehensive survey of residents. The process occurred in four stages: interviews with community leaders, focus groups within specific communities, a countywide survey, and public listening sessions. Each stage provided unique insights into available resources and the main needs of communities across Putnam County. Over 1,200 community members took part in all phases, offering valuable feedback.
Community Data Dashboard
The Community Data Dashboard provides data on key indicators related to these areas. It is an interactive tool that helps organizations and individuals access, understand, and use community data to make Putnam County a great place to live, work, and play.
