The Putnam County Community Foundation is excited to share an incredible matching opportunity for donors, made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT IX program (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow).
Donate to an eligible fund to earn a $2 to $1 match to support your community!
Gifts to a new or existing Community Impact fund (formerly known as a named unrestricted fund), which supports PCCF’s grantmaking, will be matched $2 for every $1 donated while funds are available if made before June 30, 2028.
We believe that anyone—and everyone—can turn their passions into action and create a positive impact. We have our sights set on success, and the most direct path to achieve it is through our donors’ generosity, our partners’ collaboration, and our community members’ engagement.
Is a Community Impact fund a good fit for me?
Many donors who want to create a legacy choose to establish a Community Impact fund. These donors are passionate about giving back to Putnam County and making a lasting impact on future generations. Their generous gifts are invested alongside other Community Impact funds, and their earnings support PCCF’s grant programs. Donors who establish a Community Impact fund can continue to donate to it throughout their lifetime or plan a gift as part of their estate.
During the GIFT IX matching grant period, the minimum gift to open a new Community Impact fund is $5,000, usually $12,500. The initial gift can be made with cash, stocks, other investments, qualified minimum distributions from your IRA, or the sale proceeds of real estate or grain. One or more individuals or families can establish a fund together to reach the minimum gift amount.
